CareID Alert ("CareID," "we," "us," or "our") operates careidalert.com and the related online store. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit the site, place an order, create an account, contact support, or otherwise interact with us.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use the store, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping address, account information, order and transaction details, support communications, device and browser information, IP address, and information about how you use the site. Payment information is processed by Shopify and applicable payment providers; CareID does not receive or store your complete payment-card number.
Emergency and medical information
Condition-Ready CareID products do not require personal medical information. Personalized CareID Profile services are not currently available. Do not submit diagnoses, medications, allergies, identification documents, or other sensitive medical information through the general contact form, ordinary email, Shopify order notes, or product-review fields. If a secure personalized-profile service is released, its setup process and privacy notice will explain what information is requested, who can view it, and how it can be corrected or deleted.
How we use information
We use personal information to operate the store, process and fulfill orders, provide customer support, prevent fraud and misuse, maintain site security, communicate about purchases, comply with legal obligations, and improve products and services. Promotional communications are sent only where permitted, and you may unsubscribe from promotional email.
How information is disclosed
We may disclose information to Shopify, payment processors, shipping providers, hosting and technology providers, professional advisers, fraud-prevention services, and other vendors that help operate the store. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a business transaction. Third-party providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices.
Cookies and privacy choices
The store and its service providers may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies for essential store functions, security, analytics, preferences, and permitted advertising. Available choices can be accessed through Your Privacy Choices and any cookie controls presented on the site.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. No system is completely secure. Do not send sensitive medical details through unsecured channels.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information, or to opt out of certain uses. We may verify identity before completing a request. Submit requests through CareID Support.
Children
The online store is intended for adults purchasing for themselves or for people in their care. We do not knowingly solicit personal information directly from children through the store.
