CareID Connect
CareID Connect is the emergency web profile opened by a CareID QR code, NFC tap, or assigned emergency link.
What helpers see
Condition-Ready products open general emergency guidance. Personalized products can show the information the authorized owner selected, such as emergency contacts, allergies, medications, communication needs, and responder notes.
Emergency access
Helpers do not need a Shopify account, CareID account, app, subscription, or password to view the emergency information assigned to the access point.
Owner access
Authorized owners receive a secure setup or update method linked to their order. Owner verification is separate from ordinary Shopify customer accounts. Do not share one-time setup links publicly.
Privacy model
- Profiles are not intended to appear in a public directory or search results.
- Anyone who possesses the QR code, NFC access point, or direct emergency link may be able to view the information assigned to it.
- Owners should include only information they are comfortable making available to a helper in an emergency.
- Lost or compromised access points should be reported to CareID Support promptly.
