What's the difference between Beacon, Card, and Digital?
CareID Beacon™ is a physical bracelet with QR and NFC. CareID Card™ is a physical wallet-sized backup card with QR. Digital CareID is a wallet-style pass for your phone with lock-screen QR and emergency profile. Each is a complete system — choose based on your preferred form factor.
Does it require an app or subscription?
No. CareID works through QR code and NFC tap directly in a phone browser where supported. No app or subscription is required to access the emergency profile.
What happens after I buy?
After checkout, condition-ready orders are prepared with the selected emergency guidance and no personal information. If you choose a Personalized CareID Profile, you'll receive a secure setup form so CareID can build and proof the full profile before activation. Physical products ship with tracking when applicable.
Is my medical information private?
Yes. The physical item uses a universal design — no personal medical details appear on the outside. The profile is not listed in a public directory. Anyone with the QR code, NFC tap, or direct emergency link can view the information you choose to include, so you stay in control of what details are shown.
What if I don't upgrade to a personalized profile?
You still get condition-ready emergency guidance. Physical products may also include writable backup areas, such as the CareID Vault™ label or card contact area, where caregivers can add key details by hand without putting personal information online.
Does CareID track location?
No. CareID is not live GPS tracking. The emergency profile can include a location share button so a helper can share current location when assistance is needed.
